This car is tough, and though I don’t use it much these days, it was my first hobby grade car that I fixed, tore apart, and modified on my own. Before the RC18R came out, I wanted to drift, so after replacing some dogbones and a trip inside of a pool, I:

Replaced the old tires with abs pipe and tape.

Drilled said tires and filled in holes with hot glue for grip (wtf was I thinking lol)

Upside-down shocks (though probably led to unsprung weight)

Put something in the rear diff to lock it up so it can drift better.

And it drifts quite decently, though I may need better gearing. It’s pretty old, but eventually I’ll add a 2.4 ghz radio and take the steps to go brushless.
